The horse~human connection always helps to develop human potential. Done from the heart it enhances both horse and human on their paths. And that is my path.
I have enjoyed sixty-two trips around the sun and consider myself a passionate and joyful human being, grateful for every minute of the life I live. I make my home just outside of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I have enjoyed many fabulous adventures on my journey through life so far. These include; mother, equestrian coach with my own farm for 20 years, author, photographer, work in the humanitarian field for 15 yrs, an avid traveler, and lifelong learner in the field of human potential. My ‘career’ took me to the most interesting roles including psychosocial support in the humanitarian field, health coordinator with the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls, and roles in the field of Violence and Abuse prevention to name a few.
I am the founder and publisher of Equine Leadership magazine and also founder and host: Inspire Me Forward. A series of inspirational conversations with some remarkable human beings. Since leaving my ‘career’ to follow my inner guiding tenet I have published three books. Short Stories from a Long Life. This is a collection of my father’s short stories from his 94 year life. I had the honour of curating this book after his passing. World Sanctuary, The writing of a horse~human vision into existence and some wisdom realized along the way. My third book: The Book of Realizations ~ Guiding Insights from the Horses, Nature, Humanity and Within. More information on each of those books can be found HERE.
Of course, the horses are never far away and I freelance as a coach in the field of Equine Facilitated Learning. Or I simply sit with them and share time and space. I come to the field with a strong background in psycho-social support for my fellow humans as well as years spent working in youth engagement and adult learning. I have facilitated a plethora of experiential workshops in diverse situations including work as a Sr. Facilitator with the Canadian Red Cross, conference sessions as far abroad as UK and numerous other platforms. All of these experiences and education make me a well-rounded, adaptable, and compassionate leader in dynamic learning situations. As well, I offer off-field experiential workshops and creative sessions with the Dreamation project. To compliment my facilitation work, I am certified as a Trauma Sensitive HearthMath Practitioner.
Equine work, in whatever form it has taken in my life, has instilled in me the insight that a horse’s paradigm of living is a gateway to personal, community and global change. A brighter future so to speak.
I live my life to: Inspire compassion and enhance the evolution of the human heart
